### Vocal Exercises to Enhance Your Affirmations

To make your voice affirmations more powerful and impactful, incorporate these vocal exercises into your routine. They strengthen breath support, improve projection, clarity, and resonance, while reducing tension—allowing you to speak affirmations with greater confidence, authority, and conviction. Practice daily for 10-15 minutes, ideally before saying your affirmations out loud.

#### 1. Diaphragmatic Breathing (Belly Breathing)

This foundational exercise builds breath control for sustained, powerful speaking without strain.

- Lie down or stand tall. Place one hand on your belly and one on your chest.

- Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 counts, letting your belly expand (chest stays mostly still).

- Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6-8 counts, feeling your belly fall.

- Repeat 10 times.

Benefit: Provides steady airflow to project affirmations boldly and calmly.

#### 2. Lip Trills (Lip Bubbles)

Relaxes the lips and vocal cords while improving breath support and warmth.

- Relax your lips and blow air through them to make a "brrr" motorboat sound.

- Start on a comfortable pitch, then glide up and down your range (siren-like).

- Do for 1-2 minutes, keeping it effortless.

Benefit: Loosens tension so affirmations flow smoothly and confidently.

#### 3. Sirens (Pitch Glides)

Expands vocal range and smooths transitions for resonant, expressive delivery.

- Start with a low "ng" or "oo" sound, glide smoothly up to your highest comfortable pitch, then back down—like a siren.

- Keep it relaxed; no strain.

- Repeat 5-10 times, gradually increasing range.

Benefit: Helps affirmations sound dynamic and authoritative.

#### 4. Humming Warm-Up

Gentle way to activate resonance and build vocal power.

- Hum "mm-hmm" (like agreeing) or a simple tune with lips closed.

- Feel vibrations in your face/chest.

- Gradually open to "ah" sounds.

- Do for 2 minutes.

Benefit: Enhances richness, making affirmations feel more embodied.

#### 5. Speak Affirmations with Projection

After warming up, apply directly:

- Stand tall with good posture.

- Say your affirmations slowly and clearly, projecting as if speaking to the back of a room.

- Focus on open mouth articulation and chest resonance.

Benefit: Reinforces confidence through embodied practice.

Combine these with your favorite affirmations (e.g., "My voice is strong, clear, and confident"). Consistency will transform how powerfully you deliver them—speak them aloud daily to feel the difference!
